Rafting
The Tongariro River is a renowned rafting river and the local rafting operators offer trips that range from easy rafting near Turangi to more exciting whitewater in the foothills of the Kaimanawa ranges.
Rafting Operators:Kiwi River Safaris are based here at Turangi Cabins and Holiday Park and runs whitewater rafting trips daily (minimum number required).
Beautiful volcanic cliffs, crystal clear water and fun filled rapids make this a great river trip. Relax between the rapids, which are generally grade 3 boulder gardens, and catch a glimpse of rainbow trout in the pools.
Includes transport, Subway sandwich and snacks and hot showers after the trip.
