Turangi Cabins
Our camp has 96 comfortable cabins equipped with beds or bunks, mattresses, pillows, heater and a table and chair. All guests are required to bring their own bedding. We can accommodate over 220 guests and have large recreation rooms and function rooms to meet all requirements. Communal showers and washrooms are well situated and kitchens have toasters, cookers, fridges and freezers.
Large groups are not a problem, and we are an ideal school camp for anytime of the year.
The camp is set in 3 hectares of park-like grounds of lawns and trees. There is plenty of space and privacy for individual or group camping and cabin accommodation. Outdoor games are covered, we have a volleyball net, childrens play area and plenty of room for a game of cricket.
Nothing comes close to the sheer natural beauty of the Lake Taupo region. Located in the centre of the North Island of New Zealand the lake is only a small part of the Central Plateau. This plateau also contains three large mountains boasting three unique skifields.
The trout fishing is considered some of the best in the world. Just two kilometres from our Holiday Park is the well known Tongariro river, where many very large brown and rainbow trout have been outwitted.
Turangi is the gateway to the Tongariro National Park, the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing and the Kaimanawa Ranges
Turangi is the place to be all year round, skiing in the winter, boating and swimming in the summer, and of course fishing all year round.
